Oceanside’s First Ever K-9 Trials

Looking for something to howl about? K-9 Trials are coming to Oceanside! Everyone in the community is invited to enjoy this free event. Dog lovers will delight as they watch K-9 teams engage in a competition to receive the coveted title of Top Dog.

The event takes place on April 22, 2017 at El Camino High School. It starts at 8 a.m. and lasts throughout the day, culminating at 5 p.m. Included with the K-9 trials is a Public Safety Fair. The fair will feature displays of safety equipment as well as first responders who will be available to answer any questions the public may have.

This event offers a great way for families in and around Oceanside to spend the day. Children can learn more about safety while they interact with police officers and local firefighters. Everyone will love watching the K-9 teams compete. Thanks to the food trucks that will be at the high school, families won’t even need to leave to grab lunch.

The K-9 trial master is Manuel Villanueva, owner of Pacific Pet Resort™. Villanueva will use his experience training police dogs to inform his run as trial master at this event. Villanueva stated, “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to serve as Trial Master at the First Annual K-9 Trial / Public Safety Fair. I’m honored to be able to share my input and experience at this great event.”
